Hello. Well, my birthday ended with pizza, presents and a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Ice Cream Cake from Dairy Queen. Yummy.
I wanted to share the hand-stamped birthday cards that I received from friends and family.
This one was from my son, Wyatt. See how he used that frame stamp from the Holy Triptych stamp set to enclose the greeting, from Hugs and Wishes, and the vines from the Pocket Silhouettes stamp set? Cleaver.
This one my son, Hunter, made. Very festive and colorful. He used quite a few sets - Crazy for Cupcakes, Sincere Salutations, Short Order Alphabet and A Little Birdie Told Me.
He even added lots of detail to the inside. Note how exacting he was with his placement of the half circle greeting, "Happy Birthday to You". That was free hand. Pretty impressive.
This one is from my husband. He went for the simple look but he included my favorite thing - a penguin. This penguin is one of the many I have from Memory Box stamps. The greeting is from our Happy Everything set.
But his personal note inside, that went with the penguin, was so sweet. But I will keep that private. ;0)
He and the boys stamped the cards while I was in the bathtub Tuesday night. Sneaky!
This one my mother-in-law, Karol made. Beautiful huh? Well, that is just her style. It also uses our Happy Everything greeting set along with a couple of others that have been retired. She used the Polished Stone technique on the behind the focal image. I love that technique.
This one came from my friend, Pam. She used one of our retired Simply Sent Card kits-Three Thoughts. I loved that kit.
Just about 18 months ago, Pam would have said that she could not stamp and wasn't interested in starting. Hee Hee. Now, she is sending me a hand stamped birthday card and building her collection as a member of one of my Stamp Clubs. I love this craft!
This was the card that my friend Sarah made. She was the one that brought me the cupcakes. Isn't it pretty? I just love the colors. I believe they are Perfect Plum, Blush Blossom, Mellow Moss and Bravo Burgundy. I just love the burgundy flower.
She used the Sanded background stamp on the Blush Blossom. I need to borrow that stamp Sarah!
Here is a close up of the flower. You can't see it very well, but Sarah put a bit of Dazzling Diamonds Glitter in the center of the flower which really set it off.
I need to borrow this stamp set, Bella Blossoms, too Sarah!
Sarah also gave me an iTunes gift card and put it in a pretty pocket card. I love my music.
She used the same stamp set - Bella Blossoms. Too cute.
Thank you so much to all of my family and friends that made my birthday so special. I am truly blessed.
Not sure if I will get a post out tomorrow. My husband has the day off and we are going Christmas shopping and out to lunch with his mom and grandma. Fun. Then off to the women's Christmas party at church (if I make it that long). I actually took a nap today and gave into this sickness. Wow, that was nice.
Thanks for stopping by.
