Pull Card - Autumn Thank You

This is one of the make and takes my club members made this month.  It is a pull up card where you pull the greeting insert out of the card sleeve. 

The card sleeve is made from an 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" piece of Sahara Sand card stock that is scored 2 1/4" from each end.  This makes your finished card 4" x 5 1/2" - just a bit smaller than your traditional card.  But I would prefer smaller to larger so it still fits in our standard Medium Envelopes.  The Very Vanilla insert piece measures 3 7/8" x 5 1/2" so it slides in and out with ease! 

This card is easy to create but the pull card opening makes it a just a little bit more fun to give.

I truly love the colors of fall in nature and in Stampin' Up! products.  Our Autumn Traditions Designer Series Paper is no different.  The variety of colors in this collection is a great reminder of the beauty that is outside my window.

Shimmery Autumn Leaves

Yea!  I'm back with a project for you.  Sorry for my delay - thank you for your patience.  ;o)

This is a card that I showed to my Stamp Club this month.  It uses the beautiful Night and Day Specialty Designer Series Paper from the Holiday Mini Catalog.  Love it!  The leaves are done with our Leaves #2 die for the Big Shot.  I really love the clean look of this card.  But the little extra something that makes it a "WOW" card is the shimmer it has.

You can see it a little better in this picture on both the leaves and the Basic Black card itself.  I used our Shimmer Paint from the Holiday Mini Catalog and made some Shimmer Spray.  The recipe is 1 oz. of rubbing alcohol to 8 drops of the Shimmer Paint.  I used Frost White Shimmer Paint.  You can put this in an inexpensive spray bottle, like the ones sold in the travel section in the health and beauty aisles.  Just make sure that the spray bottle produces a fines mist spray so you don't have big dots of shimmer rather than overall coverage.

I think almost every one of the ladies that saw this card that evening, purchased their own bottle of Shimmer Paint.  It is so inexpensive yet it is versatile and adds an amazing touch to your projects.  Whether you are applying it directly to your stamped images like ink or creating Shimmer Spray you will love the results!

A Decoration for All Seasons

This is a project that we made at a Late Night Stampers Pre-Convention Stamp Camp.  I am not sure who designed this project so I can't give them credit- I just know it wasn't me.  I don't usually decorate specifically for Halloween, but this is pretty cute.

The base of the project is this decorative plate that she bought at a dollar store.  Here is a picture of the original so you can know what you are looking for. 

It comes with a thin plastic covering that you remove, take out the label, insert your paper-crafted piece and put back the plastic covering.

We made three additional inserts for this plate for three other seasons of decorating.

A Frightning Collage Card

I received this fun card in the mail this week from my upline (3 levels up) Carol Bartle.  I have shown her cards to you in the past when she is so sweet to send them to recognize when I am one of her top 10 sellers.  THANKS CAROL!

Carol used our Halloween Frights and Grateful Greetings sets and fun Halloween colors to make this collage card.  I would have never thought to blend them all together!

'a la card - Sweet Centers

Yes, another Sweet Centers card!  I am having lots of fun with this set.  I'm normally not much of a Halloween card person - but when you can put candy on your card - Woo Hoo!  Have you received your copy of the Holiday Mini Catalog yet that features this stamp set?  If not, email me and I will get one out in the mail right away.  You don't want to miss this one!

I used the September 'a la cardsketch that was in my Stampin' Success magazine (newsletter for demonstrators).  Yes, Stampin' Up! gives us sketches too!  Love them.

I used the Halloween themed M&M's for my color palette: Basic Black, Green Galore, Pumpkin Pie and Lovely Lilac.  I stamped the "Eek you're Sweet" sentiment on the Sweet Treat cup with StazOn - Jet Black.  Talk about some exact stamping!

For a little more texture on this card I ran the Lovely Lilac card stock piece through the Big Shot with our wood-grain printed Texture Plate from Kit #4.  I also distressed the edges of the Green Galore with our Cutter Kit.

I think this is a fun card that anyone would enjoy receiving.

Icy Inkers Meeting Projects

This was my swap card for my Icy Inkers meeting on Monday.  I used the new stamp set, Sweet Centers, from the Holiday Mini Catalog.  I just knew I needed that set when I saw it!  There is an image for every season!

When creating this card, I kept going too neat and clean for a Halloween look.  My mother-in-law told me that I needed to "rough it up" a bit.  This is the result.

How did I rough it up?  I used our Cutter Kit on the main image layers (all three!) and the greeting circles, the Night and Day Designer Series Paper is torn, I frayed the ends of the ribbon and used our Sanded background stamp on the Pumpkin Pie card base.  Is it rough enough?

Love how M&M's always come out with colors that match ours!

EEK - Spare Circles (FTL56)

After I finished creating the projects for my Sweet Centers Class last week, I noticed a few card stock circles on my stamp counter in various sizes and colors.  Well, they couldn't go to waste!

So, I teamed them up with our new Night and Day Specialty Designer Series Paper and the Clean and Simple Fall To Layout 56 and VOILA! we have a fun and easy Halloween card.

I really love how it turned out - especially since it was from scraps!

The new Night and Day DSP is so pretty.  Not only does it have 10 beautiful patterns but it also contains two 12x12 sheets of black polka dot window sheets!  You can find it in our new Holiday Mini Catalog!  It can be classy or creepy - whichever you choose!  I error to the side of classy - don't like creepy!

Fall Thank You - Chat & Challenge 144

Hi everyone!

I jumped in on a Chat and Challenge over at SUDSOL on Monday.  Though I couldn't complete my card during the actual "chat", I had to make the card for the challenge because I had an idea in my head.  Thanks for hosting Darla!

We were given a card sample from an old Stampin' Success Magazine (monthly newsletter for SU! demonstrators).  This was the card the I came up with from the card sample.

I used the Sizzix Bigz Die - Leaves and our Autumn Vine Designer Series Paper.  Still loving that paper!  I adhered the DSP leaves to some cardboard leaves that I cut with the Leaves die.  The cardboard comes in the packages of our Designer Series Paper - Handy!

You can see the dimension that the cardboard give the leaves.  I originally made the card with just flat leaves and I didn't like it at all.  Now - I love it!

I'm going to be brief - I hope to post again today.  I have so many projects to share with you with new ones being added every day.  I may just have to post twice a day when I can.
