Since we are approaching St. Patrick's Day, I thought I would post something green. I'm not usually one to make St. Patrick's Day projects but this card would be great to send to a friend anytime.
I used the Hand Drawn Bundle items (Level 3 Hostess) again. Still loving this group of products. So, the clover image and greeting are the Loop to Loop Rub-Ons. Too Easy.
I added the Chocolate Chip Scallop Circle to go with the swirly look and punched each scallop with the paper piercing tool that comes with our Crafter's Tool Kit. Gold brads finish off the circle/swirly theme. Is that a technical term? Hee Hee.
I need to get going and finish prepping for tonight's Stamp Club Class. We are playing with some bleaching techniques and doing a CUTE and fun-opening Easter card.
I am currently forming a new Stamp Club-do you want to join? You can check out the details of all my clubs HERE. Email Meif you want me to add your name to the group.
Real quick - since we are talking of St. Patrick's Day I wanted to share a picture with you of my son, Wyatt.
For his spring class project he had to create a leprechaun trap. Not only did he have to design and build it but give an oral presentation as well. Wow, things are sure different than when I was his age. And yes, he knows that leprechauns are not real. ;0)
So Wyatt's concept is that the leprechaun will see the rainbow over his fenced yard and want to go find the gold at the end. He will enter the gate in the front and follow the Lucky Charm path to the gold (gold foil wrapped chocolate coins) at the end of the rainbow and continue on a second Lucky Charmpath into the little building where it is set up like a little living room inside. There is a suitcase of more gold coins inside. The leprechaun will grab the suitcase to "make off" with the gold which will trigger the door on the building to slam shut-trapping the little guy inside. Brilliant!
Yes, that is a Popsicle stick fence all the way around with green felt for grass. Both the fence and the building are spray painted gold. Very shiny and we hear that leprechauns like shiny things.
It is amazing how a elementary school project can cause such stress in a family. Has that happened to you? If so, leave a comment and share with us what that project was.
OK, off I go! Thanks for stopping by!
